| Taxonomic Notes : | The Banggai Crow was only known to science from two specimens collected in 1900 until Indonesian biologists Mochamad Indrawan and Yunus Masala secured two more specimens in 2007. The identity of the crows has been confirmed by Pamela Rasmussen, assistant professor of zoology at Michigan State University, who has also confirmed the validity of the species.
