| Remarks : | We had a massive snowstorm that blew in from the west over the past two days. Today I photographed this Chaffinch which seemed to be pecking industriously in the snow. On downloading the pics to my computer I noticed that it seemed to have a severe case of the avian equivalent of snow blindness. One can see half open eyes only in the first and last pics. Possibly the 'industrious' pecking was 'aimless' pecking. - BJ
