Taxonomic Notes :Monotypic. Large Blue Flycatcher has been separated from Hill Blue Flycatcher Cyornis banyumas as a full species. The most significant field characters appear to be larger hook-tipped bill, longer primary projection, paler throat than breast, the colour of the legs: pale flesh in magnirostris; darker, purplish-flesh in banyumas.
