Remarks :The bird was sitting near an active nest. There were seven nests of Slender-billed Vulture in the Park. In the lowlands this vulture makes its nest on Simul Trees Bombax ceiba, while in the upper foothills it makes its nest on Crocodile Trees Terminalia sp. due to lack of Simul Trees. The population ratio of White-rumped Vultures Gyps bengalensis to Slender-billed Vultures is 85:15. N.B.C.N is doing great a job in vulture conservation in Nepal. - VT
