Date : 20 July 2016
English synonyms:Bristled Grass Warbler, Bristled Grass-Warbler
Bird Family :Megaluridae - Grassbirds
Red Data Status :Vulnerable
Remarks :First decent sighting of Bristled Grassbird at Dhanauri Wetlands. It was heard last year but just could not locate it then. This year though the area is full of 'beloved grass' of the Bristled Grassbird and I was hoping they would be there in good numbers.

Did not disappoint - were able to see four but there were many more calling from different directions, with one not approachable at all.

Saw all Male - past experience of 2010 says, the females would arrive about 3-4 weeks later with breeding, if it takes place, would begin in September and hatching taking place end September. - AA
