| Remarks : | Today, while on a leisure trip on Nakki Lake in a paddle boat with my son and niece, I came across a River Tern nest on a small islet in the lake. The nest was in a natural depression in a rock. There were three eggs. Both the parents were near the nest.
River Terns are seen in Mount Abu in small numbers at Nakki, Kodra and other small water bodies. They are resident here. I always suspected their nesting at Nakki and Kodra. - JT |
