| Remarks : | This is the golden-tinted morph of the White-tailed Tropicbird and is sometimes listed as a race, fulvus, of the White-tailed. This golden morph is fairly common on Christmas Island, whereas the white morph is uncommon on the island. It is a beautiful bird to look at against the blue skies when it flies around the coastal areas. The bird is a popular motif / symbol used by restaurants and organisations operating on the island. - DL |
