Bramblings were recorded from 22 January 2012 to 18 February 2012 with a maximum of about 50 birds on 29 January. This is the largest flock of Brambling ever recorded in India. They were feeding on terraced fields.

It was also recorded around Dharamsala at least on twelve occasions during 1997–2001 by Jan Willem den Besten.

The areas around Dharamsala are this species’ stronghold in India. - AC
