| Remarks : | There was a flock of nine birds, all juveniles. They were calling a soft, repetitive tse..tse..tse, and looked ravenous, lustily gorging on the nectar from tender heads of Cow Parsley Anthriscus sylvestris. They moved all over the umbels in deliberate movements, habitually hanging upside down from the slender stalks on one leg and pulling the floret close with the other. - GA |
