| Remarks : | This recently fledged juvenile (sex unknown) is the second record and the first breeding record for Hong Kong. These were the first birds seen in Hong Kong; the first record, of two adults was made by an infra-red camera trap in 2002. Despite searching, the adults themselves were never seen. Hong Kong lies well within the breeding range of this species, which has been regularly recorded in China from Guangxi and Hainan to the west and south, and Taiwan to the northeast. - MK |
