| Remarks : | The super storm Phailin, which hit the Odisha coast on 12th October 2013
swept in some pelagic birds into the inlands. On the afternoon of
13/10/2013 Umakanta Biswal and Subhendu Bhattacharya sighted [this bird] in the waters of the River Mahanadi at Munduli, about 15 kms away from
Bhubaneswar. These birds were sighted until 16/10/2013. - PMU
Initially submitted as South-Polar Skua Catharacta maccormicki, then re-identified as Parasitic Jaeger Stercorarius parasiticus, now once again re-identified as this species. - Ed
