| Remarks : | Species endemic to Sulawesi. Subspecies endemic to North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Female has no red colour at all on the head; dusky-grey upperparts; ochraceous underparts. Distinctive tree-climbing behaviour. Female and male co-operate in digging the nesting hole. Female works more hours than male. |
