Bird Family :Columbidae - Pigeons & Doves
Bird Group :COLUMBIFORMES
Red Data Status :Near Threatened
Remarks :Found this pair perched behind my house in front of a dense jungle area. They did not mind our presence and let us get right underneath them to take pictures. Unfortunately they were on a very high wire and I could not get any closer shots. Though near threatened, there seems to be a small flock living in this area. I saw about 20 in a tree outside our home last year during this time but was without my camera. They tend to come out in the early evening and perch on the wires or high fences. - SF
