| Remarks : | We were very lucky to see and shoot this Sulawesi Goshawk perched quite low - at only about a height of 6m - mid canopy level. We were informed by our guide that this was due to the very strong winds that day which caused all the tress to sway back and forth quite a bit - and so the Goshawk, which usually perches much higher near the top canopy, had to come down lower to avoid the swaying.. and so we managed quite good detailed shots except for the strong backlighting.
The pictures were taken using a Nikon D4 with 600mm f/4 lens with 1.4TC. - ML |
