| Remarks : | The adult bird was seen near a nest which had a young bird. The nest was in a teak tree, part of a plantation, about 30 feet up right above a trail used occasionally by locals. We first heard single note calls - we then saw this bird fly away to the perch where we photographed it before it flew further. We then realized that there was a nest overhead in which we could see a single chick - it appeared to have fledged, but would not fly away from the nest - it seemed to be eating - maybe prey just delivered by the parent. We then moved away, waiting about half an hour before moving on. - SS |
