| Remarks : | The woodpecker is seen on a bare tree at the edge of a water hyacinth pond. It may have arrived here from one of the two small forested hills in the vicinity. The bird was pretty tame as it was foraging only a few metres away without bothering my presence. It continues to peck on the branch. This is the first sighting of this species in this neighbourhood. - TJY |
