| Remarks : | This Ruddy Kingfisher was able to catch a crab from the creek after strong rain. It did not take him long to complete the process of beating up the crab on the bamboo that he was standing on to remove the claws and legs and biting with his beak to soften the back shell of the crab before devouring the whole crab. This picture depicts a contented bird having swallowed the crab. - ET |
