| Remarks : | This adult Eagle was seen feeding on a young crocodile, which I guess was a Mugger Crocodile Crocodylus palustris that is found commonly throughout the park. It seemed that the crocodile was caught from the small water hole nearby. The bird was on a lower branch of that particular tree at a height of about 12-15 feet. From observing the tail of the crocodile I could assume that the specimen was about 1.5 feet long. We observed it for about 10 minutes throughout which time the bird was having its feast without any shyness. - TH |
