| Remarks : | It took almost 1 hour of listening and weaving about in the undergrowth to secure a pic of this jewel! While I was doing that, my smart birding pal stood at the opposite side, behind all the vegetation, where there was another trail and sure enough the pitta hopped onto the trail, giving him full unblocked views for a few seconds! I tried to be careful but still got hooked by those nasty rattans twice! Fortunately, they only hooked on my long sleeves and long pants and not my flesh. - TGC |
