| Remarks : | I am sending this only because the colour of the plumage looks distinctly as the books describe it, though it is
not quite a close-up shot. I thought of sharing it as I noticed that the Brown Coucal pics that we have on OBI as of now, do not show this distinct brown colour.
The Andamans have only the Brown Coucal species, which is seen everywhere. However, it is a very shy bird & quite difficult to photograph. We got this one, which was very far off, from the balcony of our hotel in Port Blair. The 12X zoom of my cam helped & we took
this shot only as a record, to show the distinct brown plumage. - SD |
