| Remarks : | This range restricted species was one of the highlights from my three weeks of birding in North East India. A flock of 6 participated in a very large mixed feeding flock of 21 species being led by Greater and Lesser Necklaced Laughingthrushes. The flock of Chestnut-backed Laughingthrushes and all the Green Magpies (I counted 5) were the first ones to fork out of the mixed flock.
This species' range is restricted to Tinsukia & Dibrugarh forest divisions in upper Assam, Tirap & Changlang divisions in south eastern Arunachal Pradesh and extreme northern Burma. - PB |
