We recently visited the Damingshan Nature Reserve in Guangxi, which is a major forest area in southern China. We have taken a few photos of the Slaty Bunting and thought that might be of an interest to your society. It was our first bird-watching trip to China and we were told that we were very lucky to have seen them. It was a cold and foggy afternoon when we found them foraging alongside the trail. We spent 2-3 hours in the freezing cold weather trying to get close to them. At first they were frightened & flew up the hillside, but eventually they got used to us and allowed us to take a few shots. - M & P Wong
