| Remarks : | Two birds showing what might be sexual dimorphism in this species. The colour difference was very marked under quite lengthy observation, so it's not a trick of the light, indeed it was so much so that we suspect the more richly coloured bird may be what has led some folks to previously misidentify these birds as Minahassa Masked Owls. The bird that emerged was the pale one. - PG |
