| Remarks : | This is a pair of 10-day old Mossy Swiftlets. This species can echolocate and nests in the total darkness zone of the cave, too, like the Black-nest Swiftlets. The mossy vegetable nesting materials are glued to the concavity of the cave wall with the nesting saliva secreted from the sub-lingual salivary gland. Nests of this species are not collected for culinary purposes. - LCK |
