| Remarks : | Early in the morning today an Ashy Drongo visited my home, and I was clicking its regular bee catching. There was much movement of Indian Silverbills Euodice malabarica around without any fear of the Drongo. Suddenly the Drongo swooped and caught a Silverbill in its claws and sat on a wire and tried to eat it. However, the Silverbill managed to escape. This was the first time I have observed a Drongo preying on a bird. - AM |
