| Remarks : | We had seen Pied Falconets three times on our trip to Kaziranga, once atop a mobile tower and second time on a distant tree. On 12th of February, 2020, when we were having our lunch , suddenly one of our members spotted this falconet in the premises of our resort. Leaving our lunch half finished in a small restaurant just outside our resort, two of us rushed back to our rooms on the first floor, unlocked the door, grabbed our cameras and went to the verandah to have a better view of this little bird. Luckily it was still there.
It was feeding on a House Sparrow Passer domesticus. - MD |
