| Remarks : | I identified this warbler by the large tail, which it kept cocked up, and by its vocalisation. I had failed to click this skulker thrice before taking these photographs on 12 March 2017; once at Harike in 2015, once at Pong Lake in 2016 and on the previous evening at the same location. I reached the location (a small pond surrounded by Ipomea sp., Typha sp., Lantana camara, and other shrubs, and small trees) early in the morning and located this bird again by its vocalisation. It only gave brief views through the reeds, constantly moving within the reeds, along the water’s edge. I was able to click a few pics and was delighted, as no decent photograph of this bird is available from India. - AC |
