| English synonyms: | Ultramarine Blue Flycatcher, White-browed Blue Flycatcher, Western White-browed Blue Flycatcher (superciliaris), Eastern White-browed Blue Flycatcher (aestigma), White-browed Flycatcher, Western Ultramarine Flycatcher (superciliaris), Eastern Ultramarine Flycatcher (aestigma) |
| Bird Family : | Muscicapini - Old World Flycatchers & Niltavas |
| Bird Group : | PASSERIFORMES |
| Red Data Status : | Least Concern |
| Remarks : | This adult male bird appears to lack any white at the base of the tail. That together with the fact that the white supercilium is somewhat reduced indicates that this is an intergrade between the nominate subspecies and aestigma. There is an area in Nepal where the two subspecies meet and interbreed producing offspring with different amounts of white in tail and supercilium. - Eds |
