| Remarks : | I had noticed the Wallace's Hawk Eeagles nesting in that same vicinity for two or three years but on other, and taller (=less acessible/visible) trees. In September-October 2004, the time of the photos, they surprisingly nested on a lower tree very close to a plantation structure (an oil-palm fruit loading ramp) with very noisy human activity daily, which did not seem to bother them at all. Though their nesting activity created much interest in the workers I was largely able to keep them from climbing the tree. - JP |
