| Remarks : | Occasionally mistaken for the Black Hornbill Anthracoceros malayanus due to its generally overall blackish plumage with its black bill for the adult male, the Bushy-crested Hornbill tends to create some excitement for the birdwatcher as it generally travels in flocks and cause some commotion when they feed together on fruits. It can be found in evergreen forest up to 1200m, whereas the Black Hornbill is found in lowland forest. This female was part of a flock of four birds feeding on brownish fruits the size of chicken eggs. - DL |
