Initially spotted by Mothi M on 19th September, followed by a few other birders on 20th September. Torquise blue underparts, rusty mantle, all black primaries and secondaries in flight were clearly observed. Also in the field, these individuals looks slimmer in appearance compared to the Indian Rollers Coracias benghalensis. All three were busy feeding on beetles and constantly being harassed by Indian Rollers, Black Drongo Dicrurus macrocercus and White-eyed Buzzard Butastur teesa. - GK |
