| Remarks : | Habitat - A Sacred Fig Tree Ficus religiosa in a wooded area with residential and commercial buildings all around.
A single individual Spotted Flycatcher was seen on a Sacred Fig Tree. Other birds seen on the tree - Ultramarine Flycatcher, Red-whiskered Bulbul, Red-vented Bulbul, Indian Golden Oriole, White-spotted Fantail, Taiga Flycatcher, Indian Grey Hornbill, Asian Koel, Oriental White-eye, etc. This Spotted Flycatcher was first spotted by Mr. Raghunath Iyer who was very generous to open up his office on a Sunday for us to see and shoot the bird at an eye-level. The Spotted Flycatcher was probably not properly recorded in Maharashtra before this. - VP |
