| Remarks : | This species has hitherto been recorded in the western and central Himalayas and never in the eastern Himalayas. Before I photographed it, bird watchers have seen and heard it in the same place - Helmet Top, Walong. It seems that mine may be the first photo of it. A photograph of a male would be helpful in telling if this is a subspecies other than macrolopha or nipalensis. - SJ |
