| Remarks : | A small wader which has short legs and swims like a duck, the Red-necked Phalarope is a rare passage migrant along the coast of Peninsular Malaysia. This individual was seen in some abandoned fish ponds located near the west coast. It was a fast swimmer but was very confiding, allowing fairly close approach. - DL |
