| Remarks : | While a place of great beauty, the Tibetan Plateau could also be quite bleak with cold wind and icy precipitation even as summer approached. The avifauna coped well with the challenge. This White-rumped Snowfinch seemed more like a small mammal than a bird as it trundled across the ground to its nest site, a repurposed pika burrow. - PJ |
