| Kim Chye, a retired laboratory technician, and Yian, a teacher, share a long-time interest in all aspects of nature, particularly birds and plants. They are both active members of the Malaysian Nature Society and the Asian Raptor Research & Conservation Network. As keen birders, they enjoy being involved in volunteer work for these organizations in their bird-related projects. They consider themselves lucky to be living in Taiping, which is surrounded by a wide range of habitats, thus providing many opportunities for birding whenever the urge grabs them. When time and finances permit, they take off to nearby countries to see new birds and to satisfy their other passion, travelling and experiencing other cultures. |
