| | I work as a manager in an oil palm plantation in Sabah (Northern Borneo), Malaysia. Although I had always been interested in wildlife, especially birds, I have only quite recently taken up photography and as the number of my bird photos accumulate I have learned more about them, their identity, habits and so on mainly by joining birder groups on the Internet and emailing other "real" birders. Even though a plantation is not the ideal environment to see birds, especially and sadly, compared to the original forest that it has replaced, there are still quite a number of species that I can see everyday at work. Most of my photos are of these birds, but I do try to go to other places as much as possible to see and photograph other species. |
