| Jon took early retirement in 1993, after a scientific and managerial career in the steel industry, to pursue his birding and travel interests full-time. He has extensive experience as an ornithological fieldworker and ringer, in many parts of the world, and has photographed well over 3000 species of birds - opportunistically, not from hides. He is also author of a considerable number of papers and reports.
Jon sadly passed away in 2018. |
