| Andrew Crossland is a professional ornithologist, photographer and writer, based in New Zealand. He has travelled extensively in SE Asia since 1994 and was based in Singapore between 2000 and 2002 as an embassy officer with the New Zealand High Commision. He has a particular interest in wetland birds and his research interests have included surveys for waders and other shorebirds along the east coast of Northern Sumatra and studying the habitat requirements and breeding habits of a small population of Malaysian Plover over the 2001 and 2002 breeding seasons at Tanah Merah in Singapore. |
